For damage-free backcombing (which is also easy to remove), take a small section of hair and hold it away from the head. Place the comb on the section, a few inches from the root. Push the brush down, against the direction of growth, in two short strokes, stopping below the roots. For the third brushing, go back to the roots. Continue this three-brush method for each section that needs combing.

Use the tail end of the comb, not the teeth, to create the most precise sections into your hair when you work on it.
