Olaplex is a deep, permanent hair repair that helps prevent hair breakage and claims to stop the damage by adding a chemical. It is a hair fiber bond multiplier that contains a single active ingredient: Bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate.

Olaplex works by seeking out unique hydrogen and sulfur bonds and re-bonding them to form disulfide bonds before, during and after treatments.

Disulfide bonds are broken through chemical, thermal, and mechanical processes, so Olaplex prevents this.

It is free of silicones, sulfates, phthalates, DEA, aldehydes, and has never been tested on animals.
