SUSTAINABILITY AND OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
All products of ELEVEN Australia are 100% recyclable. Has always been possible, ELEVEN Australia has taken measures to help reduce our carbon footprint.
This is an important focus for us, and in 2020, we expect to launch some innovations of sustainability interesting around our packaging.
Our shampoos, conditioners, and styling products, manufactured with a new material in a sustainable way; stay tuned for more. We know that we have not yet reached that point, but we are on our way and now we have taken major steps toward our goals!
For example, through our practices of research, development and testing, we use shower heads ECOHEAD for washing and rinsing products in the hair. The products ECOHEAD use half the water that the shower heads conventional, which contributes to reducing the consumption of energy, water, and energy. We also do everything possible to partner with suppliers that are committed to reducing their environmental impact. Whenever possible, our suppliers make conscious efforts to:
Here are some other sustainability initiatives amazing our members and suppliers:
In an effort to reduce the environmental impact, one of our providers of bushes planted grass on the roof of his compound in the factory. This grass specifically need less irrigation water, and help in large measure to protect the factory from the heat, which results in the decrease of the internal temperature and the need of equipment for air cooling, and electricity.
Our print provider european is one of only three printing companies certified Cradle to Cradle in the world. Cradle to Cradle is an environmental certification that guarantees that a product does not pollute, does not consume the resources of the Earth and becomes part of the natural cycle after use. The idea is to invent and produce products that can be used time and time again, resulting in products that do not generate waste and non-toxic to humans or the environment.
CRUELTY-FREE
All our products are animal-cruelty free and approved by PETA (People for the ethical treatment of animals) and proudly support the Beauty without bunnies.
The EU legislation no longer allows companies to use the logo of the bunny or logo free of animal cruelty in the packaging, because that is illegal to perform tests on animals. Because our products are sold to worldwide, we removed these symbols to ensure that our packing is universal.
It is also not negotiable that we have the correct documentation of all our suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that each individual ingredient of our range is obtained in an ethical manner and is not harmful to any animals in the process.
PALM OIL
By itself, the palm oil is not an ingredient that we use in our products, however, some other ingredients that we use contain palm oil. For these ingredients, we obtain a Certificate RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) of the provider to ensure that may occur without environmental damage. This is to certify that the palm oil used always comes from farms of sustainable palm.
FRIENDLY VEGAN
We strive to offer as many vegan products as possible. The exception to this are products that contain amino acids of silk from silk worms, lanolin of sheep's wool and beeswax. All these ingredients help us to offer products which work exceptionally well and we are pleased to say that none of the animals suffers damage in the process. Studies have shown that the breeding of animals may contribute up to 60% more emissions of greenhouse gases in all the efforts of the production, something that is not the case when you produce vegan products.
ELEVEN Australia is proud to reducing our environmental footprint wherever possible and offer a wide range of vegan products allows us to do so.
